It's far better to be overly cautious about whom we support than to support the wrong people

 

We help those who are at the very tip of the spear, those who are in the heart of the fiercest fighting. But at the same time, they must be highly professional, highly effective combat units that never shy away from carrying out their missions and - just as importantly for us - do everything they can to protect their people.


So when the news breaks that a certain unit disgracefully retreated (thank God, the last time that happened was about a year ago), it turns out we recognized the cowards immediately and never gave them anything.

Now, when stories emerge about units that failed to protect their own people, it turns out we saw that from the very beginning as well, and we never supported them either.

Harsh? Perhaps. But my kindness ran out long ago, back in 2023.

Since then, we have evaluated effectiveness using a strict and comprehensive system. We had mostly followed it before, but sometimes made exceptions because kindness got the better of us.

Among those asking for help, we look for professionals - brave people serving in units that value and protect every single soldier. Even among assault regiments, there are units like that. Those are the people we support nonstop. Those are the Heroes whose lives we help save. Those are the teams we help become even more effective.

We carefully filter every request. Quite often, we end up providing something better than what was originally requested because we dig deeper, learn everything we can, identify the most important needs, and take responsibility for whatever we are able to cover.
All of this changes along with the reality on the battlefield, and right now the top priority is protecting people from drones and saving lives.

So no matter what happens around us, we may occasionally make small mistakes, and we learn from them, but we do not make strategic mistakes. It is far better to be overly cautious about whom we support than to support the wrong people. Thank God there is always important work to do helping professionals who fight bravely without pause, serving in units that value and protect every single soldier.

What problems our snipers have and how we can help

  There are many questions to me about the situation at the front, what problems our snipers have and how we can help. 1. The first main problem is Rubicon. Something like our Unmanned Systems Forces, but they work not only from the rear, but also directly at the front, destroying everything they detect from the line of combat contact 10 km into our rear. They also partially reach targets further than 10 km. All this is achieved due to the unlimited provision of Rubicon with all types of drones and all types of weapons necessary for such units. We need to provide brigades with drones , against which Rubicon operates, not according to e-points and previously achieved results, but unlimitedly. Why we train marksmen and not invest everything exclusively at the longest-range sniper groups

I am asked why we train marksmen, invest time and resources, and not throw everything exclusively at sniper groups fighting with the longest-range rifles? Today I came across an interesting testimony from the front. Svyatoslav Yavorivsky ( slavko.yavir on fb): "The effectiveness of shooting with an AK-74 or AR-15 at 300-400 m is practically zero, and cartridges cost money. A machine gun firing point immediately becomes a target for drones.  No one has canceled infantry combat, but we need to return to the good old mass sniping, that is, marksmen. The Finns once completely demoralized the Red Army in this way. A detachment of stormtroopers should be supported by one machine gun and two marksmen (local accurate separate shooters). This is not a sniper with a two-meter "paddle" of large caliber, but an accurate shooter at 400-500 m, with a semi-automatic rifle, who supports defensive combat or assault from cover.
