Now I have to tell you how snipers are fighting now, what are the problematic moments and what we are trying to do to maximize the effectiveness of our sniper groups.
1. The most important problem is drones.
If the guys (and girls) have regular sniper work, drone cover is mandatory. If the work is on assault operations, there should be not just total cover for everyone with drones, but the dominance of our drones over the battlefield.

All sniper groups now work in such a way that there is interaction with the unit's drone operators, they have their own drones, and this is a matter of survival on the battlefield. One of our groups this fall advanced to the line of combat contact during the destruction of the Dobropillia advance of the enemy without drones, counting on the unit's drones. Everything almost ended in disaster.
Organizing drones in 1 day is not my profile, the issue was resolved at the government level. Thank God, everything was positive. The fact that some units in the Pokrovsk direction or in similar hot spots where the enemy Rubicon operates do not have drones is a crime.
The fact that support is provided by a miracle, due to interference in communications, is a sad picture. Our troops everywhere on the front, and especially in hot spots where there is a Rubicon, should be flooded with drones!!!
Where there is support with drones, other special means of modern warfare (oh, there are miracles here that in the 22nd we could only dream of!) - there is victory, with great difficulty, but we destroy the enemy and move forward.
So, the number one law of war for us now: the super-professionalism of snipers should be completely covered by drones and special means of warfare.
Now state drones prevail, but a large number of all sorts of improvements are the fruit of the work of craftsmen and volunteers, specifically we provide many people with euro primers, because this is our profile, we successfully obtain them, and to all conversations “we would buy, just let us know where” we answer: “the car has already left for you, it will come tomorrow, we will give everything in triple the amount of the request”.
We are happy that we can help with a surplus, so they bother us less often, the guys still have the opportunity to share with their comrades, we are only glad.
2. The second problem is protection from enemy drones.
We do not deal with Electronic Warfare, but sometimes there are snipers very dear to us, who have nowhere to take Electronic Warfare - there are no other volunteers to do it. Then we help. Recently, these were snipers of the Presidential Brigade, the 14th Brigade, everyone is very satisfied.
A topic closer to us is good semi-automatic shotguns.
I have always been in favor of every vehicle, every position being equipped with such weapons, it has repeatedly proven its effectiveness since 2022.
But with the beginning of the dominance of drones on fiber optics, everyone has become convinced that everyone should have such rifles.
Thank God, snipers are increasingly being armed with such shotguns and this results in a concrete reduction in losses.
Guys drive with 2 shotguns per vehicle, and at least 2 shotguns per position. Shotguns with Holosun super collimators are especially effective.
We need donations for the Typhoon shotgun - 28,300 UAH, for the Holosun super collimators - 92,000 UAH.
Also, there are many requests for shotgun cartridges now, 1 box of 250 cartridges is 6,000 UAH, we need a hundred boxes.
3. The third problem is that super-professionals perform a variety of tasks, from striking the enemy at record-breaking distances to short-range engagements, because either we are being stormed or we are stormed.
It is unrealistic to carry everything, so every four of our super-professionals must be accompanied by a support group. Support is also needed for drone operators, each of whom must be protected from an unexpected attack of any kind. There is a shortage of people in the escort, this is a problem, we are working on it. At the same time, all the escorts are potential super-professionals, we let them grow according to their interests. New snipers or drone operators constantly appear from the escort, who, after the courses, receive their own recognition, their own tasks as super-professionals. We are happy to help provide them with everything they need, if these are new snipers who have grown up from our escort.
4. The fourth problem is that people are losing their health.
Even if there were relatively few injuries, and it seems that there are not so many concussions, a variety of cases happen. Your leg hurts, and then you don’t feel it at all. You lose consciousness, you open your eyes in the hospital. One day you discover that jumping in armor has led to spinal problems, and it’s good if you can shoot, and the second number carries the rifle for you.
All these health failures in the fourth year of continuous war happen just as often as injuries. That’s why our hospital and rehabilitation expenses are constant. The guys don’t complain, they rush to the front from the hospitals.
The other day, our snipers met a legendary infantryman who has been at the front line for 1 year and 4 months without a break. Of course, the command is doing something wrong here. But when there are such people in the infantry, then super professionals will also always be in the ranks, because they have to be better.
Whether your health holds up or not – you have to work.
I wanted all this to be respected, and the guys didn’t ask for money for hospitals and rehabilitation. It’s easy to do – they should receive 500 thousand UAH combat!
5. The fifth problem is cars.
We are constantly repairing them. And today these are the remains of cars, a lot of what was lost. The state gives a little, but in principle much more is needed. It is interesting that some of our cars, provided in 2022 and 2023, survived where all the armored ones burned down, such a paradox.
We love all this “cavalry” of ours, we repair them, we dream of new cars for some snipers, but these are all special projects with Ukrainian businessmen who, as volunteers, deal with cars – our snipers are grateful to them for every beloved “horse”!
6. The sixth problem is that sniper cartridges are increasingly not issued or are issued soaked (!) cartridges that do not hit anywhere, even at 100 meters.
There was a period when we focused on supporting 375 and 416 caliber cartridges, now we need to invest in 338 again.
We are providing all this with great difficulty, we cannot help everyone. We cannot provide 308 or shotgun cartridges to everyone.
I would like to have more resources and provide all the necessary cartridges to everyone - because this is critically important for the survival of snipers and for their effectiveness.
7. The seventh problem is the choice of position.
The specificity of today's battlefield situation is that there are significantly fewer places where a sniper position can be. Often, snipers simply cannot operate in the lane of their main unit.

Recently, we heard the “wisdom” of one commander in response to a request to be allowed to work from high-rise buildings in the area of responsibility of a neighboring unit: “Fight with me, if you can’t do it as snipers, go on assaults.”
Thank God, there are not many such commanders now, in 23rd year there were more. Still, the autonomy of snipers, for which we fought, works a little, especially when there are many results. We have to buy TriggerCams for snipers so that the video of hits reassures the commanders.
I consider this a waste of money, but if the video of hitting will give autonomy to the sniper group due to the received favor of the commanders – we still buy TriggerCam, usually with the money of Ukrainian sponsors.
One way or another, if it is possible to choose a position, the sniper group will always find an opportunity to professionally disguise themselves and work it out. Sometimes all the professionalism does not help, and then the enemy discovers the position, but it all ends with an instant evacuation - they are preparing for this very carefully now.
The position must not only be completely disguised, but you must be ready to find yourself, for example, five floors below in a few seconds. All this saves lives, although it is a test for health. And the most important thing is that it was managed to hammer into everyone's heads: if there is no successful position on this battlefield - no one shoots.
The drone war has finally forced everyone to accept this axiom, which I already considered a self-evident norm.
There is less crazy heroism when conducting sniper fire now than in 2022 or 2023 - then they risked much more. Now there is enough crazy heroism during assaults, during sniper work everyone is as careful as possible, and thank God for that!
8. The main problem is evacuation in case of injury.
If one of the four is injured, everyone switches to evacuation, the group directs all efforts to this task - such are the realities today. Timely evacuation occurs where there is a lot of armor. Today, armor at the front is a consumable.
Unfortunately, the state does not yet understand this. It is high time to buy any armor around the world, try to strengthen its protection and use it for evacuations, so that there are no such long breaks between injury and the operating room.
9. Providing new long-range sniper rifles is a constant task.
We don’t provide so much anymore, because it’s more important to ensure the protection of those who are already working than to strengthen them with new snipers.But we constantly either provide completely new weapons or provide scopes for new or repaired weapons. Once this was our main problem, now there are such challenges on the battlefield that it is already in ninth place.
We understand all this and do everything we can step by step.
As you can see, there are many problems.
We are focusing on solving those problems of snipers that we can solve. We are infinitely pleased that the level of losses among snipers has become lower, for which I am personally infinitely grateful to everyone who helps!!!
