The Horizon's Lord rifles are given to large sniper units - platoons and companies. They are given 4-5 pieces, in fact as additional weapons.
The main weapon of sniper groups operating at long distances is .375 caliber rifles, which hit the enemy at a distance of up to 3 km. Also, the groups traditionally have a lot of .338 caliber rifles, which work at a distance of up to 2 km. This creates a reliable kill zone, in combination with reconnaissance drones and kamikaze drones, it is generally a continuous extermination zone.
There are always those who want to get rifles in the 375 caliber: Desert Tech as the most convenient for snipers (562,000 UAH), Victrix Tormento as a completely acceptable option (432,000 UAH), Victrix Throne as the most long-range rifle (378,000 UAH). We are also constantly asked for rifles in the 338 caliber, we are always waiting for help in purchasing them for the best sniper groups!
Snipers of support and long-range rifle operators themselves are concerned about reliable protection of the group from drones and from unexpected collisions at short distances - in the past 2 years, the main losses were associated with these two reasons. The fact that great efforts have been made to strengthen the protection of snipers over the past year is bearing fruit, as the level of losses has been significantly reduced, despite the extremely difficult situation on the battlefield and in the near rear.
We would be happy to receive support for anti-drone shotguns, self-defense ARs of 308 caliber and 5.56 caliber, and most importantly - with thermal imaging super-collimators (92,000 UAH), which make self-defense weapons highly effective!
The Horizon's Lord rifle is received in such comprehensively armed groups for the ability to hit the enemy at a distance of 3 km. Most hits from 375 caliber rifles are at a distance of up to 2700 meters. Most hits from the Horizon's Lord are from 2700 to 3300 meters. Possible working distance - up to 4 km. All these hits require considerable skill, and with the Horizon's Lord - also considerable physical endurance, because the recoil is significant with each shot. The old cartridges with a brass case contributed to setting a record at 3800 meters, the prospect of reaching 4 km, the new cartridges still allow us to hope for accurate shots up to 3500 meters, we will be glad if reality exceeds these estimates.
Which groups do not see the point of getting the Horizon's Lord?
Firstly, there are groups that do not see much point in working further than 2500-2700 meters, because even in the available range there is enough work, the guys and girls work comfortably, having consistently good results. Secondly, these are groups that have 416 caliber MRADELRs - at the range the MRADELR hits the target at 5 km, in combat conditions the work is stable. But while no one is bragging about records, we will not be bragging either - the main thing is that the work is carried out.
Some observers speak of the ability to shoot armor-piercing cartridges as a significant advantage of the Horizon's Lord. But such cartridges work at 2 km, and at this distance, armor-piercing cartridges from Barrett in 50 BMG caliber work perfectly.
So, the Horizon's Lord is a great addition where there is already a large professional group, fully equipped with basic and additional weapons. It is practically impossible for me to imagine the successful functioning of a group that would shoot only with the Horizon's Lord rifles.
The total number of the Horizon's Lord rifles is small, but the need for them is relatively insignificant. This is an additional effective weapon, but for a very small number of groups.
