Victrix Tormento of the .375 CheyTac caliber with a barrel length of 30 inches

I continue the story about the super rifles of the .375 CheyTac caliber.

So next up is the Victrix Tormento of the .375 CheyTac caliber with a barrel length of 30 inches.
Bonus - I'll tell about Viсtrix Throne too.

These super rifles work perfectly in front-line conditions at distances of up to 2700-2800 meters. However, their operation requires the sniper and his assistants to be extremely careful. The bolt group is the weak point of all Victrix rifles. Because of this, we never buy Victrix in 308 and 338 calibers, and we stopped buying Victrix in 50 BMG caliber.

Due to the weakness of the bolt, problems may arise with an overdose of gunpowder. Also, the design of the striker is such that it can pierce the primer too deeply and capture part of the primer inside the bolt, which will lead to the need for repair if the bolt is not disassembled and cleaned immediately. Also, the springs inside the bolt fail and have to be replaced. If the barrel were longer, there would be no such problems. But we have what we have.

To alleviate the situation, we make silencers that relieve the barrel of excess gases as much as possible - and the silencers are even better than the standard Roma silencers. But in general, the Victrix Tormento would benefit significantly if the barrel were 2 inches longer, we think the manufacturer will come to this.

The appearance of the Victrix Throne caliber .375 CheyTac with a barrel length of 38 inches is the result of the search for a fundamentally new design, devoid of the shortcomings of the Victrix Tormento and previous rifles in general.

The Victrix Throne has a long barrel, which, however, is not heavy, a simple stock, and in general this rifle is much more convenient to carry than, for example, the Horizon's Lord. The bolt of the new design works well. However, an overdose of gunpowder leads to a loss of stable accuracy, and the guys had a little trouble until they found good recipes. We hope that new records will be set with the Victrix Throne caliber .375 CheyTac.

In general, combat work with Victrix rifles caliber .375 CheyTac is going well, the other day we put into service new Victrix Tormento rifles, which were issued to snipers in the unit! By the way, this is good news that now a sniper in the unit can get Victrix Tormento, and not just buy it himself or ask for it from volunteers! There are still good trends!

But traditionally, there is a shortage of cartridges for .375 CheyTac rifles now in half of the cases when rifles are issued to the unit, and here we remain the only instance that provides cartridges. And in order to provide .375 CheyTac cartridges, we need to either buy them ready-made or buy their components.

The most difficult, but also the most profitable thing is to buy the best Peterson cartridge cases and suitable primers (capsules) - then the result is guaranteed and the maximum benefit from every dollar spent!

The Evolution of Sniper Warfare in Ukraine

Four long years of experience: how sniper warfare — and our support for snipers — has changed. In just one more month, the great russian-Ukrainian war will have lasted as long as the First World War. It was in the furnace of World War I that mass professional sniping was born. During the Russian-Ukrainian war, sniper warfare has undergone its greatest transformation yet — and these changes must be understood again and again. These days also mark four years since we began helping snipers. By then I could no longer fight myself, and countless requests from the front forced me to begin the work of providing grassroots support to units close to my heart. During the first months, starting in May 2022, we helped with ammunition, vehicles, rifles, optics, suppressors — we provided whatever the guys asked for. But even at that early stage, we began concentrating on .338 caliber rifles, mainly Rugers and Savages as affordable but high-quality weapons. We refined every rifle to near perfection,...

What problems our snipers have and how we can help

There are many questions to me about the situation at the front, what problems our snipers have and how we can help. 1. The first main problem is Rubicon. Something like our Unmanned Systems Forces, but they work not only from the rear, but also directly at the front, destroying everything they detect from the line of combat contact 10 km into our rear. They also partially reach targets further than 10 km. All this is achieved due to the unlimited provision of Rubicon with all types of drones and all types of weapons necessary for such units. If our command had a desire to win the war , several decisions would have been made that have long been necessary: 1A. We need to direct units of professionals to destroy Rubicon , providing them with unlimited resources. 1B. We need to provide brigades with drones , against which Rubicon operates, not according to e-points and previously achieved results, but unlimitedly. The same goes for electronic warfare and radar reconnaissance. 1C....

We need a different team of generals capable of winning the war

I can confirm that throughout 2023–2024 we suffered enormous losses because of repeated counterattacks to retake tree lines and ruins, and it all followed the same pattern. Our troops occupied advantageous positions and destroyed the enemy as if at a shooting range. Enemy losses were 17–25 times greater than ours. But then someone decided the line on the map wasn't neat enough, and the endless orders began: "straighten the line," "retake the previously lost positions." The result was losses that were impossible to justify, with two consequences. First, the casualty ratio dropped to only three to one. Second, our infantry was often too small in number and disoriented, allowing the enemy to break through not only the "retaken positions" but also the previously stable defensive line where they had earlier failed again and again despite enormous losses. This is how we lost an enormous number of people—so many that, had they been preserved, there would ha...
