I am asked why we train marksmen, invest time and resources, and not throw everything exclusively at sniper groups fighting with the longest-range rifles?

Today I came across an interesting testimony from the front.

"The effectiveness of shooting with an AK-74 or AR-15 at 300-400 m is practically zero, and cartridges cost money. A machine gun firing point immediately becomes a target for drones.

No one has canceled infantry combat, but we need to return to the good old mass sniping, that is, marksmen. The Finns once completely demoralized the Red Army in this way. A detachment of stormtroopers should be supported by one machine gun and two marksmen (local accurate separate shooters). This is not a sniper with a two-meter "paddle" of large caliber, but an accurate shooter at 400-500 m, with a semi-automatic rifle, who supports defensive combat or assault from cover. The Americans have been doing this for a long time.

To train a marksman, you need to not dig trenches for 2 months, not disassemble AK-74, but learn to choose a position, camouflage, move smoothly and fire 2000 shots at 400–600 meters. Then there will be no "infiltration" of small groups of orcs, either day or night.

I saw all sorts of weapons from NATO (machine guns, automatic grenade launchers, grenades, assault rifles), but I did not see any .308 caliber marksmen rifles with good day-night optics in the hands of fighters. Because there are none! And why? Because the generals, on instructions "from above", are fixated on anti-drone drones. But the infantry suffers not only from them.

The worst orc is an orc at a distance of 200-400 meters: you can't peck it with an AK, you can't get it with a grenade, you can't cover it with a machine gun, and it crawls along the ditches. And the marksman will wait and catch it. You don't need to invent anything, that's all invented and tested in Iraq. "

I find this testimony very indicative: now more support for marksmen is needed!!!

What problems our snipers have and how we can help

There are many questions to me about the situation at the front, what problems our snipers have and how we can help. 1. The first main problem is Rubicon. Something like our Unmanned Systems Forces, but they work not only from the rear, but also directly at the front, destroying everything they detect from the line of combat contact 10 km into our rear. They also partially reach targets further than 10 km. All this is achieved due to the unlimited provision of Rubicon with all types of drones and all types of weapons necessary for such units. If our command had a desire to win the war , several decisions would have been made that have long been necessary: 1A. We need to direct units of professionals to destroy Rubicon , providing them with unlimited resources. 1B. We need to provide brigades with drones , against which Rubicon operates, not according to e-points and previously achieved results, but unlimitedly. The same goes for electronic warfare and radar reconnaissance. 1C....

What are we working on in January?

We are getting, buying and handing over 375 caliber rifles . We will try to buy and hand over another long-range sniper rifle Cadex CDX-40 Shadow in 375caliber. We will also definitely buy 3 barrels of 375 caliber, which are still reserved for us, to convert the Cadex rifles with a significant range of fire. We need $12,000 for the rifle, 3 barrels in total are $9,000. We will try to buy and transfer 2 or 3 Desert Tech HTI 29" FDE, .375 Chey Tac rifles . Such rifles are very convenient for night operations, they are easier to move and camouflage with.
